Melanie Dixon (she/her) RECE is the Director of Professional Practice at the College of Early Childhood Educators. She is a collaborative leader and learner with varied experience in the early years sector, including licensed child care, child and family resource programs, post-secondary education, government and professional regulation. Melanie is committed to supporting registered early childhood educators in recognizing and growing their expertise to promote the well-being and sense of belonging of all children.

As part of her professional learning, through her work at the College, Melanie is examining ways to support mentorship in the context of the practice of early childhood education in Ontario. In her personal time, she enjoys connecting with relations in gardens, along trails and around dining tables.
