INCLUSIVE RECRUITMENT: EMBEDDING EDI IN HIRING PRACTICES (LEADERSHIP)

  • Four Points - Balmoral Ballroom 1150 Wellington Road London, ON, N6E 1M3 Canada (map)

Facilitated By: Lavinia Latham, Lawyer & Workplace Investigator

To build truly inclusive workplaces requires hiring practices that are not only equitable and attractive to diverse candidates, but that proactively remove barriers to participation. Everything we do during recruitment, from where we source candidates, to our job ads, to our application process and interviews, to our selection decisions, should promote inclusion and belonging.

In this engaging, interactive session, we will use case studies, activities, and small- and large-group discussions to help equip you with the skills to brand yourself as an employer who welcomes diverse job candidates, identify and remove barriers to inclusion throughout the hiring process, understand and mitigate the impacts of unconscious bias in hiring, conduct fair and inclusive interviews, and otherwise embed EDI (equity, diversity and inclusion) considerations in your recruitment practices.

Lunch will be served at 12:30 PM.

Speaker will begin at 1:00 PM.
